JERSEY CONSTRUCTION
HOW WE BUILD A JERSEY THAT LASTS THE SEASON
A rugby jersey gets grabbed, pulled, and driven into the ground — repeatedly. Every construction decision below is specific to the jersey. And every fabric batch is tested before a single piece is cut.
Polyester Knit With Elastic Recovery
The base fabric is a polyester and polyester-blend knit selected for two properties that matter on a rugby pitch: moisture-wicking to pull sweat off the skin, and elastic recovery so the jersey keeps its shape after being stretched in the tackle. Anti-pilling treatment is applied where the fabric weight allows.
Collar, Cuff & Sleeve Construction
Collar and cuff designs are updated each season based on market feedback — we adjust cut lines and finishes so the jersey looks current. Choose between short sleeve and long sleeve. Sleeve cut can be adjusted for your team's preference.
Sublimation Into the Fabric
Your entire design — colors, crest, numbers, sponsor marks — is sublimated into the polyester fibers using Korean Inktec inks. Nothing sits on the surface to crack or peel. Print adhesion is tested on every batch to confirm the design stays intact through repeated washing and wear.
Tested on Arrival, Before Cutting
Every fabric batch arriving at our cutting workshop is tested first. Tensile strength and bursting strength — because jerseys get pulled. Seam inspection and anti-pilling — because jerseys get grabbed. Color fastness to washing and sweat — because jerseys get dirty. No test passed, no cut made.
JERSEY CUSTOMIZATION
WHAT YOU CONTROL ON THE JERSEY
Every element is sublimated into the fabric — not applied on top. The list below covers jersey-specific decisions. Your design is reviewed for production feasibility before we quote.
DESIGN ZONES
Crest on the left chest. Player number centered on the back. Name across the upper back. Sponsor logos on front, back, or sleeves. We flag any element that risks blurring in sublimation at your artwork’s size.
COLLAR STYLE
Collar design is updated seasonally based on market feedback. Choose from current collar options during the design review. Cut lines and finish details are adjusted to match your preference.
FIT & PATTERN
Regular fit — room through the chest and body, standard for club and school rugby. Slim fit — closer cut, less material to grab. Custom pattern adjustments available for rosters with specific body type requirements.
LABEL & TRIM PERSONALIZATION
Custom woven labels, printed hang tags, and branded zipper pulls are available. Small details that reinforce team identity when the jersey arrives — the kind of finish that sets a club apart.
SIZE & FIT
SIZED FOR YOUR SQUAD. NOT A GENERIC CHART.
Size charts only get you so far. Our pattern library includes adjustments for different body types — including Australian and Asian market sizing. We can also develop special size specs if your roster falls outside standard grade rules.

FUNCTIONAL ADD-ONSFOR YOUR JERSEYS
Beyond the standard moisture-wicking base, these functional treatments are applied to your jersey fabric in-house — not outsourced to a third-party finisher. Specify what your team needs during the design review and we will recommend the right combination for your climate and playing conditions.
ANTI-BACTERIAL
Inhibits odor-causing bacteria in the fabric. Keeps jerseys fresher between washes — practical for tournament weekends and multi-day events.
UV PROTECTION
Built-in UV blocking for outdoor play under strong sun. Relevant for Australian and Southeast Asian markets where midday matches are the norm.
COOLING TOUCH
Cool-sensation finish on the fabric surface. Reduces the perception of heat against the skin — noticeable in hot and humid playing conditions.
THERMAL RETENTION
For cold-weather rugby. A slightly heavier knit with improved heat retention — without sacrificing moisture-wicking performance.
